Designing Candlewood Suites as part of the Privatized Army Lodging program was an exciting challenge for our team. These state-of-the-art properties offer one- and two-bedroom suites, as well as studios, providing a home-like hotel experience that is ideal for military members and their families while traveling.
Coordinating the full design while adhering to various government, national, and local codes and partnering with a design-build team allowed us to provide exceptional service to our client. Our work helped them achieve their goal of delivering the best on-post lodging experience for their guests while also bringing IHG’s signature hospitality and amenities to Department of Defense travelers.
Our team collaborated with Lendlease and IHG Army Hotels on one of the latest properties in the Privatization of Army Lodging (PAL) Program. We were proud to support the Candlewood Suites Fort Gordon development, contributing to IHG’s mission of providing signature hospitality to Department of Defense travelers. Standing five stories tall and featuring 311 rooms, this on-post property is the world’s largest Candlewood Suites. Guests can relax in fully-equipped suites and enjoy amenities such as a 24-hour fitness facility, a business center, self-service laundry, and The Candlewood Cupboard.
